Go Nuts for Kiwanis Peanuts

September 14, 2018

Look for familiar faces in front of local grocery stores as members of the Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton collect donations in exchange for peanuts between 9 AM-8 PM on Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September, 15. Club members and Zion-Benton Township High School Key Club volunteers will be at Jewel/Osco stores in Waukegan and Zion, Piggly Wiggly in Zion, and Walgreens in Zion.

Peanut Days is one of the club’s major fundraisers, which helps to support community organizations that focus on serving children in the Beach Park, Winthrop Harbor, and Zion areas. Since June of 1976 when the club was founded, over $740,000 has been returned to worthwhile causes within Zion and Benton Townships.

You can support the Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton even more by buying a case of peanuts from any Kiwanis member. The suggested donation is $50 per case. For details and contact information, visit http://zbkiwanis.org.
