Aggravated Battery with a Firearm Arrests

 


On June 28, 2018, members of the Zion Police Department, the Lake County Sheriff's Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service-Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended Deondre T. Booker (23-yrs old, Zion) and Jamonte JA Davis (21-yrs old, Zion). Both were wanted for their alleged involvement in a shooting that took place in the 3300 block of Colgate Avenue on June 18th in which a 29-yr old male from Zion was shot in the abdomen. Booker was wanted for Aggravated Battery of a Firearm and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Davis was wanted for Aggravated Battery of a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Felon. Bond for both subjects was set at $2,000,000.

Booker

Members of the Zion PD, LCSO Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF developed information that Booker was staying in a residence in the 2900 block of Gabriel Avenue and took him into custody without incident. Members of the Zion PD, LCSO Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF developed information that Davis was hiding out in an apartment in the 2800 block of Elizabeth Avenue and took him into custody there. Officers also recovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, over 100-rounds of ammunition and a small amount of cannabis. The caliber of the handgun is consistent with the caliber used in the shooting on June 18th. The handgun will be sent to the crime lab for ballistic analysis. Both Booker and Davis was scheduled to appear in bond court on June 29th.
