The Zion Historical Society held a community lawn sale on Saturday, June 23 at the corner of 25th streets and Sheridan. Dubbed, Trash to Treasures, the event is a fundraiser for the Zion Historical Society.

The event helps the Historical Society to pay some bills like maintenance and insurance for the Museum, the Shiloh House.

According to organizers, community partners purchase 20 X 25 feet spaces and then sell anything that they want.

"It was very successful," says Lorna Yates, Vice President of Zion Historical Society. "It was a beautiful day and a lot of people came out to turn their trash into treasures."
