Movie Review: Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool. It is the eleventh installment in the X-Men film series, and a direct sequel to the 2016 film which was a tremendous success out of the gate, especially against low expectations of such an offbeat superhero character.

Deadpool the main charter, played by Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian actor and film producer. Other charters are Josh Brolin (Cable), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Julian Dennison (Firefist), and Zazie Beetz (Domino).

Deadpool 2 comes with tons of laughs as it's pitched to be a "family" movie. Deadpool is an extension to the X-Men universe that is held by 20th Century Fox. There are a lot of Easter eggs in this film for those who follow the trends in pop culture. In the film Wade Wilson known by his alias Deadpool must confront a lot of his inner dilemmas while vowing to save a teenage boys life from the hands of futuristic half-robot Cable. Deadpool realizes that this call to action is a lot to handle and assembles a comic favored team call the X-Force. Cable's backstory provides a lot of humanity to his character and makes it a conflict as to whose side you chose to root for during the film. It was entertaining every second, by the end of the movie I was left wanting even more.

Deadpool 2 had a record-breaking opening day, debuting at $53.3 million dollars, which broke the opening-day record for an R-rated movie.
