ZB Library launches 2018 Summer Reading Challenge


Reading Takes You Everywhere

The Zion-Benton Public Library announced the launch of its 2018 Summer Reading Challenge: Reading Takes You Everywhere. The summer reading challenge will run from June 1st to July 31st. The program has four age brackets, each with its own reading goal. Everyone will get a prize at registration, midway point, and completion. All prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 11th.

Everyone who completes the Summer Reading Challenge will be able to choose one of the following completion prizes:

Pool Party (All Ages): Saturday, 8/18 from 6-8 PM at Port Shiloh Pool in Zion, IL

Bluetooth Speaker: Available in assorted colors.PopSocket: Available in black with a white library logo.

Portable Device Charger: Available in assorted colors and comes with a Micro USB cord.

Bowling Party (Ages 12-17 only): Saturday, 8/9 from 6-8 PM at Pinster’s Bowling Alley, located at 1646 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099

As a bonus, readers who complete the Summer Reading Challenge will automatically be entered in the bonus prize raffle. The prize you can win will depend upon your age bracket and cannot be substituted.

Bonus Raffle Prizes for readers who complete the Summer Reading Challenge:Newest Kindle Fire: (Preschool & Elementary: Birth – 11 yrs.)

(2) Hamilton Tickets: (Teens: 12-17 yrs.) The Hamilton tickets are for Friday, 8/10 at 7:30 PM. You must be able to attend and provide your own transportation to the performance.
