Schneider Host Drop-Off Location for "Help USA Troops" Collection Drive

Constituents may donate items for care packages for troops serving overseas

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced his Lincolnshire Office will serve as a community drop-off location during the April 2018 Help USA Troops collection drive. Help USA Troops is an Arlington Heights–based non-profit that ships boxes of care and comfort items to service members deployed around the world.

Constituents may drop-off items for care packages to American servicemembers beginning today, Monday, April 2, 2018 until Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

The office is located at 111 Barclay Blvd, Suite 200, Lincolnshire, IL 60069, and open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

“The brave men and women serving our country far from home deserve to know our communities stand behind them,” said Schneider. “This drive is a small expression of our gratitude for their service. I’m grateful our office can partner with Help USA Troops to share care packages with members of our armed forces.”

Suggested items for donation include personal hygiene products, pocket-sized food and snacks (non-perishable), candy and gum, pocket-sized powdered drinks, cards and letters, and more. A more detailed list of suggestions is available on the Help USA Troops website.

More information about the packing drive is available online.
