Frances Cahill Turns 102


On March 9, 1916 in the small town of about 3000 of Herley, Wisconsin, when Woodrow Wilson served as the 28th U.S. President, Frances Cahill was the third born to Barbara family. That was 102 years ago, four months before the beginning of WW I. Her immediate family would eventually have five girls and one boy.

Her father worked in the area iron mines and her mother made food and sold it from their home front porch. It was mostly Italian food her mother prepared from her Sicilian heritage.

Her school, for such a small town, was a very large building occupying almost a whole bloc...
